Power Trip takes United Blood fest by storm.

 This past week, Dallas's own cross-over thrash metal band "Power Trip"created a "mosh to survive" enviroment at the United Blood Hardcore festival. I was not in attendance, but by word of mouth the band's set was the most wild by far. Dont sleep on their new EP, containing songs like "Suffer No Fool", "Divine Apprehension" and "Brainwave". The Story So far is another great pop punk band, just like Such Gold. Both produce, positive and uplifiting music, that is definitely worth the listen. The Story So Far is slowly becoming widely popular, more and more people getting into their music daily. Dont hesitate to check out their album "Under Soil and Dirt". Get itno it!

Ceremony Set to Release New Record March 6; Sample Track "Hysteria" released.

Punk/Rock band Ceremony is set to release a new album "Zoo". Ceremony had released a smaple track off of the album entitled "Hysteria". The track has definitely taken a different turn from their previous albums. It is not a bad turn, though. The song is more of a upbeat/psychadelic kind of rock song more than angry and fast-paced hardcore punk rock like their previous releases. All in all, this new album seems promising, given that "Hysteria" surprised me greatly with a change in sound. Although I do happen to be a huge fan of their previous high-speed albums, "Hysteria" is a reassuring factor giving hope that "Zoo" will be nothing more than a great release. Get into it!

Such Gold, "Standing Tall" Above the Rest.

Such Gold is an energy-filled, Pop Punk band from Rochester, New York. With songs containing positive messages, this band's music will definitely help you keep your head up. Their music is easy to relate to, as well as universal to fit anyones musical tastes. Catchy lyrics and phenomenal beats carry them to the top of my list of bands to look out for. Give them a listen!

Xibalba Releases New Track: Full Length Soon To Come.

Ponoma California locals, Xibalba, have big things on the horizon for them. Last night, they had just released a BRAND NEW track off of their split 7" album with the band "Incendiary". The song that Xibalba had released is entitled "Stone heart". Stone Heart is definitely a killer release, such a hard hitting song, and is quite the teaser, undeniably leaving devoted Xibalba fans hungry for more. Stick To Your Guns, Music With a Message.

This past saturday i had the liberty of attending Stick To Your Gun's live performance. They were the only enticing band on the bill, considering I do not listen to the other 4 that had played. The venue was packed, shoulder to shoulder people. It was hot, and the wait to see STYG seemed to last for an eternity. Band after band played, then finally it was time. Brian Ochoa, Nicholas Jensen (12), Vince Giammona and I pushed our ways to the front for the upcoming performance. They started their set with one of their most popular songs, "This is More". Acting as a stimmulus, the crowd responded by going nuts. Stage dives, head walking, hardcore dancing, the works. Exhilirated as ever, I joined in with singing along. Their set came to a close, and I can say that it would have to be one of the best i have witnessed in a good while. A plus to the awesome music performed was the immense kindness eminated from the musicians themselves after the show. All in all, I do highly reccomend this band, GREAT music, and an even better message to convey. Check them out!

THeir music is so uniquely crafted, to the point that I have never witnessed any local with a similar style to theres. They may not be your music type, but they are worth a listen.
